Questions with The Founder & Creative Director
What does Sabodé mean?
Pronounced 'sah-boh-day' - the name is an abbreviation of my first and second name. Abode means 'a home' I see Sabodé as an extension of myself, the brand houses my love for craft.
Why does Sabodé exist?
As an individual who requires several outlets for my energies I have created Sabodé for me first and foremost, it initially started out of service for friends and family but as time has gone on it just makes sense to fully commit to the vision and my craft.
Sabodé also exists to inspire, create conversation and provide a service that individuals can connect with.
How would you describe a Sabodé customer?
The Sabodé customer is a virtuous being on a mission to provide pure exchanges in their life. They are knowing of themselves and they have a specific appetite for life. When this appetite is expressed through clothing they seek for something enriching, protective, breathable. All in all they are looking for something that aligns with their spirit and brings out their inner self.
What do you aim to communicate through your brand?
I see myself as an creative empath I wish to evoke a feeling and a connection. As I research and develop my knowledge about design and spirituality I want to create work that serves more than an aesthetic purpose.
THE SABODÉ WOMAN
